Typically these appointments are charged a $600 flat fee and include a review of the case and we provide up to a one-hour telephone consultation. Clients will be provided with an estimate of additional services, if necessary, with the service contract. Health Insurance and/or Medicare: This is a Medicare consultation to assist employees who are retiring and are over age 65 or for retirees becoming eligible for Medicare. This consultation will also address concerns of individuals already enrolled or those who would like to discuss their current health insurance without Medicare. CSRS Offset: Assistance understanding the impact of CSRS Offset on your retirement and spousal benefits. Surviving spouses: Assistance for surviving spouses to help you understand the changes to your benefits such as owning a Beneficiary Participant TSP account or changing to self-only health insurance coverage. We can address any other concerns related to the retirement and insurance benefits of the surviving spouse of a deceased federal employee or annuitant. Retirement application review: Review of your completed retirement application (CSRS or FERS / FEGLI) includes up to a one-hour telephone consultation to answer your questions. The applications to retire look deceptively simple, but once you start to fill them out, you may have questions. It is important to get it right the first time, to avoid delays in processing your retirement benefits. This is only a review of your application with a general discussion for employees who already have a complete understanding of their retirement benefits.
