Couples Pre-Retirement Consultation

Service Description

*Please note, this service is only available to spouses/partners in the same household AND both are Federal Employees. This is a retirement planning event created especially for your individual & household needs and will address your specific questions and concerns. We welcome and encourage your spouse to participate in your counseling session, however, if your spouse is also a federal employee, we can provide a joint counseling session for only 50% more. Your specialist will conduct a thorough review of both service histories, retirement benefits and insurance prior to your consultation so that they will be prepared to answer your questions and provide useful information. We will strive to be sure that you receive the most accurate and complete retirement planning information. These appointments will address multiple topics including CSRS, CSRS Offset or FERS, Social Security, Thrift Savings Plan and federal insurance benefits. Our subject matter experts will analyze and calculate your retirement scenario(s) and provide recommendations for you to be well prepared for a smooth transition from employee to annuitant. Our experts have experience assisting employees covered under special retirement provisions for law enforcement officers, firefighters, air traffic controllers, Foreign Service Officers, intelligence operatives with the CIA, and other special groups.
